S19Q2 is named after the second quarter of my 19th year of life, the midpoint of the end of one of the most transformative years of my life.
The artistic process began with the canvas being dominated by an array of swirling colours, each representing a moment of intensity this year.
S19Q2 captures the raw intensity and constant motion of life—how energy passes through us, grows, and changes.
At the top left and bottom right corners of the canvas, are two isolated circles: one black, one gold, facing each other from a distance.
These two dots serve as silent witnesses to the development of S19Q2, grounding the piece in the same way the original circles in Dual Solipsism* did.
